Early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of developmental and speech disorders results in the best outcome for individual patients. Development is assessed at all well child visits and often at sick visits as well. We feel that parents know their children best and take seriously any parental concerns in these areas.
We are aggressive in pursuing early intervention through Babies Can’t Wait, the preschool intervention program, speech, physical, and/or occupational therapies with a goal of having the best possible function by the time children start school. After children are in school we coordinate services with local school systems to ensure continued therapies when necessary.
